　　Today is my birthday and I'm so excited about it.In the morning I put a note on the table for my mum and it said,“Today is my birthday,don't forget it!”At school,I got many gifts and cards for my classmates and had a lot of fun.But I was still expecting the birthday party after school.

　　When it was time to leave school I couldn't wait to go home.When I open the door,there wasn't anybody in the house.There was only a note that said,“Coming home late tonight,mum and dad.”I try to call them but there was no answer.I was so shocked,do they forget my birthday?How could this be!I was so sad that I couldn't eat anything.I just did my homework and waited for them.

　　And then,things changed completely.It was about time for dinner,my mother called and told me to go to the restanrant near our house.When I got there I couldn't believed my eyes.Everybody was there:my parents,my relatives,my friends and even my classmates.There was so many gifts and a big cake.What a surprising birthday party!We had a good time and it was the best birthday party ever.

　　Raised In Rich and Poor Way

　　In China, most people believe that boys should be raised in the poor way while the girls should be in the rich way. The poor way means to let the kids do things by their own and their parents won’t be satisfied them all the time. So the rich way means to take care of the kids carefully and pay attention to them. No matter which way the parents carry on, I think it is not the suitable way to raise a kid. Whether the kid is a boy or a girl, they need to be nursed both in the rich and poor ways. It is the parents’ duty to take care of their kids, so they should be patient and kind. But when the children make mistakes, parents should not spoiled them. Kids must be educated and corrected their wrong action. Only in this way the kids can be taught well.

　　在中国，大多数人认为男孩应该穷养而女孩子要富养。穷养的方式就是让孩子自己动手做事而且父母通常都会不太满意。因此富养的'方式则是细心照顾孩子，注意力也放在他们身上。不管父母用什么方式来抚养小孩，我觉得都是不合适的。无论是男孩还是女孩，他们都需要穷养和富养相结合的方式。父母有责任照顾他们的孩子，他们应该要有耐心、和蔼。但是，当孩子犯错时，父母不应该溺爱他们。孩子们必须得到教育，纠正错误行为。只有这样，孩子们才可以教育得更好。

　　Now in some places of our country, a number of people have been cutting down the trees in the forests because they need wood and more farmland. The areas of forests are getting smaller and smaller. The weather will get hot and dry. The whole earth will become a big desert. A lot of plants and animals will disappear.Crops will not grow anywhere. Life will be difficult for everyone. The human beings will be punished for their forest-destroying activities.

　　Therefore, we should realize the importance of taking care of our forests. We should do our best to protect our living environment and keep our mountains green,the water clean, and the sky blue.

　　在我国的一些地区，由于需要木材和得到更多的耕地，许多人一直在砍伐森林中的'树木，森林面积正变得越来越小。一些科学家预言二三十年后将不会再有大片的森林，这真的是一件可怕的事情。森林在哪里消失，沙尘暴就在哪里发生，天气会变得炎热而干燥，整个地球会变成一个大沙漠，大量的动植物会消失，没有地方再长庄稼，生活会变得很艰难，人类因为破坏森林的活动将受到惩罚。
